International Mobility & Collaboration Centre   |  Main Campus

  • We invite all local students to enroll in our IMCC Bantu Mentor program. The primary goal of this program is to offer services that facilitate the onboarding process for international students, aiding in their adjustment to USM campus life. Selected applicants will receive allowances and attractive benefits as part of their participation in the program.

  •  

    • Registered undergraduate (2nd, 3rd, or 4th year) or postgraduate of USM

    • CGPA of 2.0 and above

    • Good command of the English language
  •  

    • Mentoring: Provide guidance, support, and assistance to assigned international students in their transition to campus life.

    • Training: Attend training sessions provided by the Institution to better prepare for the role of a mentor.

    • Orientation: Assist with the International Postgraduate Orientation organised annually by the Institution.

    • Communication: Maintain contact with assigned international students through meetings, emails, or other communication methods to answer related inquiries until their tasks are complete.

    • Resource Sharing: Share necessary information about registration documentation, hostel accommodation (if applicable), and important locations in the campus.

    • Guiding to Necessary Locations: Bring the assigned international student to USM’s International Mobility and Collaboration Centre (IMCC), Visa Office, Housing and Accommodation Centre (HAC), Institute of Postgraduate Studies (if applicable), Pusat Sejahtera (Wellness Centre), airport (only if the student has purchased a package with airport transfer), and other necessary locations.
